5 Centrepiece Ideas for Your Christmas Dinner Table

5 Centrepiece Ideas for Your Christmas Dinner TableΒ

Β
β€˜Tis the season to… start thinking about ways to decorate your dinner table! No Christmas dinner table is complete without a centrepiece.Β
Β
If you’re bored of all the ready-made, shop-bought, identical centrepieces you see each winter, it’s time to think outside the box… Get creative and get putting something together yourself, with inspiration from Pretty Little Home!
Β
For all the keen Christmas decorators out there, here are some ideas for a gorgeous and unique centrepiece for your dinner table.Β Β
Β

  1. The gift of light

Β
Create a dreamy glow at your dining room table with our glass present jars filled with fairy lights.Β
Β
Surround the jar with winter ferns or holly, for a pop of colour, and voilΓ  - an easy festive centrepiece!
Β
(For an autumn-themed table, swap the present jar for one of our pumpkin glass jars and the holly for pine cones or faux autumn leaves.)

  1. Get things off the ground

Β
Make a statement with your Christmas table decor by raising it off the table. Introducing different levels to the table adds interest and dimension.
Β
Use one of our raised wooden boards or beaded trays to bring height. On top, place a row of candles in our glass, silver snowflake candle holders and wind ivy around and in between each for a pretty Christmassy look.Β

  1. Set the (festive) scene

Β
There’s something truly enchanting about the glow of internal lights from a distant house, especially in winter. Artists have taken inspiration from the old, tall canal houses of Amsterdam for centuries and as a result, gorgeous ceramic Dutch tea light houses were born.Β
Β
Use our collection to recreate the magical glow of winter towns in miniature at your table.
Β
A set of three positioned on a platform (such as one of our beaded boards) and flanked by some winter plantage, makes for a subtle and gorgeous wintery scene.Β Β

  1. Go pretty and minimal

Β
…While we’re on the continent, Christmas decor doesn’t always have to be bold and gold, it can also be minimal and muted, with a nod to Scandinavia.Β
Β
Create a cute and contemporary centrepiece with long, white candlesticks in four of our patterned, glass candlestick holders. Opt for uniformity with two complementing designs - i.e., two of our single heart holders mixed with our black dot holders.Β
Β
You can’t go wrong with candles in winter - they create warmth and ambience in any setting. Click here for more ways to cosy up your home for winter.

  1. Repurpose snacking stations

Β
Filled with sweets, nuts or crisps, our ceramic and glass snacking stations are cute additions to any party.Β
Β
But they also double up as excellent Christmas table centrepieces. Fill each cone with winter foliage (think: ferns, holly, spray-painted gold or silver twigs) and/or small baubles or beads in metallic, festive shades. Then wind fairy lights around and in between them. Suddenly you’ve a completely unique piece for your table.Β
