Place Mats

Rattan placemats have a firmer, more structured woven appearance, while seagrass placemats offer a softer, more relaxed natural texture. Both work well as everyday table mats, so the best choice depends on the finish and style you prefer for your dining table.

Remove crumbs with a soft brush or dry cloth, then wipe the placemats gently with a slightly damp cloth. Allow them to dry fully before storing. Natural-fibre placemats should not be soaked, machine washed or placed in a dishwasher.

Store woven placemats flat in a dry cupboard or drawer, with the mats stacked evenly on top of one another. Avoid folding, tightly rolling or storing them near moisture and direct heat, as this may affect their natural shape.

Rattan and seagrass placemats can help protect a table from crumbs, light marks and small spills, but they are not completely waterproof or heatproof. Use a heat-resistant trivet beneath hot serving dishes and wipe away spills promptly.

Allow one placemat for each place setting. Our placemats are sold in sets of four, making one set suitable for a four-seat table. Two sets provide enough table mats for six or eight settings, with spare placemats available when needed.
